The Redlin Funeral Home, Inc., originally located on the southwest corner of 8th Avenue and Broadway in Baraboo, was once a private home. It was converted to a funeral home by John H. Scheible and Chris Dyrud and opened on June 1, 1939. The funeral business was initially operated in conjunction with a furniture store and was located in what is now known as Ploetz's Furniture Store on 3rd Avenue. John's son, Robert F. Scheible, took over the funeral home in 1954.
